Building an Active Future is Sports Backers’ 2017-2022 Development Campaign focused on inspiring and creating a more active community for everyone in the greater Richmond community. Sports Backers is looking to raise $2.5 million in multi-year pledges. An investment in the Building an Active Future campaign will benefit the region by:
- Expanding economic impact of sports tourism through Sports Backers owned and operated events and other organizations’ athletic events supported by Sports Backers
- Continuing advocacy to significantly increase the amount of bike and pedestrian infrastructure
- Increasing accessible fitness programs in underserved communities
- Strengthening active living partner network in the region
A strategic gift to the Building an Active Future campaign provides residents of Greater Richmond with access to safe and affordable active living opportunities. As a result, our region will be a healthier and more vibrant place to live, work, and play.
