Wendy P Lewis

Wendy P Lewis (she/her/hers) is a Partner in KPMG’s Audit practice and she also serves as the Managing Partner of the KPMG Richmond Office. She has over 26 years of experience providing financial statement and audit of internal control services to both public and private companies. She serves clients in the Consumer/Industrial Markets, Non-profit, Higher Education, media/entertainment and asset management industries. Wendy previously completed a three-year rotation in KPMG’s National Office in New York where she provided assistance in technical accounting, reporting and auditing matters to audit engagement teams.  She has participated in numerous speaking engagements to companies regarding new and emerging accounting issues and developments.

Wendy has been a KPMG lead campus recruiter partner for over 10 years and also served as a KPMG national instructor. Wendy serves as a local office partner champion for the African Ancestry Business Resource Group. She is a past local Richmond chapter President of the National Association of Black Accountants (NABA) and currently serves as Chair of the Virginia Board of Accountancy (VBOA). She is also a member of the AICPA and the VSCPA. Wendy was a 2019 recipient of the Style Weekly Executive Women in Business Award, the 2019 Virginia Union University Outstanding Alumni Award and named one of the 2024 100 people to meet in Virginia by Virginia Business Magazine.

Her community activities include serving as a board member of the Howard University Middle School for Mathematics and Science, the Richmond Public School Education Foundation, the Ruth Coles Harris Leadership Institute of Virginia Union University and the ChamberRVA.

Wendy earned her B.S degree in Accounting from Virginia Union University in 1997. She is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensed in Virginia. She is married and has one son who is 10 years old.
