Angela Kelly-Wiecek
Hanover County Board of Supervisors
Angela Kelly-Wiecek was elected as the Chickahominy District Supervisor in November 2011. She chairs the Board’s Legislative subcommittee and served on the Finance, Safety/Security, and Benchmarking Committees. She represents Hanover’s interests on the Capital Area Workforce Partnership which she currently chairs, and the Greater Richmond Partnership. Angela has also served on PlanRVA, the Richmond Regional Transportation Planning Organization, and the Capitol Regional Collaborative.
Born and raised in the Richmond area, Angela is a 20+-year resident of Hanover County. She has an Associate in Science Degree from Richard Bland College as well as a Bachelor’s of Business Administration Degree from Averett University. Angela has over 20 years of communications and public relations experience in private industry and manufacturing. She is now self-employed as an Industrial Marketing Consultant.
Angela and her husband Paul have one child and together they all enjoy sports, active living, history, the beach, traveling, and reading. She joined the Sports Backers Board of Directors in 2014 and was re-elected in 2021. During her time on the Sports Backers board, Angela has been a huge proponent of bike and pedestrian safety in Hanover and she spearheaded the “Active Living Chapter” in Hanover’s Comprehensive Land Use plan.
