Fitness Warriors Celebrate Graduation of 7th Class of Recruits, Kick Off Training for 8th Class

At Sports Backers, we believe that Richmond can be among the most active cities in the country and we are working hard to make that dream a reality. A key part of that mission is Sports Backers’ Fitness Warriors program, which offers free weekly fitness classes for people of all ages and fitness levels in the areas where residents need access to active living opportunities the most. Driven by our ‘Let’s Go RVA!’ motto, we are striving to create a Richmond region where every member of the community has a safe place and a welcoming environment to meet their physical fitness needs.
Fitness Warriors are working and training year round, and on June 8th, we graduated the 7th Class of Warriors recruits. These six individuals completed a six month, FREE, comprehensive training program and are now leading free group fitness classes in communities around Richmond.
As we continue to work on getting the community up and moving we are also getting our newest Warrior Recruits moving. This Saturday, July 13th, we kicked off the first of many training days for the 8th class of Fitness Warriors. We are working to provide participants with the best fitness class experience and will continue to groom these future Warriors to make a positive impact in the community.
With over 50 FREE weekly classes happening in the Richmond region, the Fitness Warriors are excited and ready to get the community up and moving with their unique styles of fitness. From dance-based workouts to boot camp and High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) classes, community members like you are getting their 150+ minutes of recommended exercise with us on a weekly basis, with no cost to participate!
