Final Registration Block Open for Ukrop's Monument Avenue 10k

The fourth and final registration block for the Ukrop’s Monument Avenue 10k presented by MARTIN’S is now open, with registration rates of $45 for adults and $35 for youth age 14 and under. Once the final block fills, race registration will be closed and the event will be at capacity (30,000 total registrants).

The 17th annual Ukrop’s Monument Avenue 10k presented by MARTIN’S is set for Saturday, April 9, 2016. In addition to the 10k, entries are also being accepted for the Virginia529 Kids Run. Information on all events can be found at www.sportsbackers.org.

Sports Backers, Flying Squirrels Partner for ‘Richmond’s Home Run Weekend’

The Richmond Flying Squirrels and Sports Backers are partnering to make the festivities around the Ukrop’s Monument Avenue 10k ‘Richmond’s Home Run Weekend,’ with great deals and special events for 10k participants in conjunction with the Flying Squirrels’ series with the Hartford Yard Goats at The Diamond.

Festivities will be in full swing for 10k and Kids Run participants as the Yard Goats play their first game ever. On Friday, April 8, offers include a free General Admission ticket for all 10k and Kids Run participants, additional tickets for family and friends for only $5, free shirt for the first 1,000 Fans (15 and older) through the gates, and happy hour drink specials at The Diamond. Game time is 7:35pm and gates open at 6:00pm.

On Saturday, April 9, fans receive a free general admission ticket when they show off their 10k or Kids Run finisher medal, and additional tickets can be purchased for only $5. There will be a pregame parade at 1:35pm for all attendees wearing their finisher medal, and Richmond Times-Dispatch Dress Up & Run Costume Contest finalists will be introduced between games of the doubleheader, before voting begins. Game time is 2:05pm and gates open at 1:00pm.
