Ukrop's Monument Avenue 10k Named a Top Event in the BibRave 100

RICHMOND, VA – The Ukrop’s Monument Avenue 10k presented by Kroger was recently named to The BibRave 100: A Definitive List of the Best Races in America, by the BibRave race promotions and event management company. The event was listed among the top 15 10k-distance races in the country and is an annual favorite for serving as a part pep rally, part block party, and part costume party, all wrapped up in a competitive 10k.

A combination of runner nominations, running industry surveys, and online votes from runners helped compile the BibRave100 and decide the list of best races in America. The Anthem Richmond Marathon, another Sports Backers event, also made the list of top 20 marathons in the country.

“All of the races listed on The BibRave 100 are shining examples of how to put on a great event, and we couldn’t be more pleased with the list,” said Tim Murphy, Co-Founder of BibRave. “Runners put a lot of time and research into planning their race calendars, and we hope The BibRave 100 is a helpful tool highlighting some truly wonderful races.”

Registration Now Open

Registration is now open for the Ukrop’s Monument Avenue 10k presented by Kroger at www.sportsbackers.org, with the event taking place on Saturday, April 14, 2018. Registration is also available for the Virginia529 Kids Run on April 14 and YMCA 10k Training Team. The training team is a 10-week program for runners and walkers of all skill and ability levels taking place at 20 locations around the region, including stroller-friendly training sites. Training kicks off on Saturday, February 3, 2018.
