Registration Now Open for Ukrop's Monument Avenue 10k presented by Kroger
RICHMOND, VA – Registration is now open for the Ukrop’s Monument Avenue 10k presented by Kroger, with the event taking place on Saturday, 
April 14, 2018. This marks the 19th running of the community event and offers participants the opportunity to collect the second piece of the special three-piece finisher medal that will celebrate the event’s 20th anniversary in 2019. The 10k has become one of the largest road races in the United States, with thousands of finishers and spectators joining for a festive 6.2-mile block party to celebrate a spring tradition in RVA.
“The Ukrop’s Monument Avenue 10k is a great community event and a wonderful celebration of active living,” said Meghan Keogh, Event Director for Sports Backers. “We’re looking forward to welcoming residents and visitors for a fun atmosphere to help further our mission of encouraging active lifestyles for people in all corners of the Richmond region.”
Training Team, Virginia529 Kids Run Registration Also Available
Registration for the Ukrop’s Monument Avenue 10k Presented by Kroger and the Virginia529 Kids Run is now open at www.sportsbackers.org. Both events are set for Saturday, April 14, 2018. Youth pricing is also available for 10k participants age 14 and under. Additionally, registration for the YMCA 10k Training Team is also open. The 10-week program for walkers, joggers, and runners takes place at 20 locations around the region, including stroller-friendly training sites. Training kicks off on Saturday, February 3, 2018.
