Active RVA Certification and Awards Applications Due by January 31, 2019

RICHMOND, VA – The January 31 deadline for applications for Active RVA Certification is fast approaching, and organizations interested in earning recognition for their wellness initiatives can use the following links to apply:

All certified organizations will be recognized at the 2019 Active RVA Awards presented by Cigna, held on Thursday, March 7, at the Virginia Museum of History and Culture. The awards are taking part in conjunction with the Movement Makers Active Living Summit, a day-long summit bringing together individuals and organizations that are part of the active living movement to share best practices on making physical activity a priority in communities. The Active RVA Certification and Awards program recognizes the Richmond region’s exceptional employers, schools, and early childhood education providers that are implementing innovative programs to promote physical activity. All certified organizations will be honored at the Active RVA Awards presented by Cigna on March 7, 2019, at the Virginia Museum of History and Culture

Since the creation of the Active RVA Awards program in 2013, hundreds of companies and schools have embraced physical activity and received Active RVA Certification.
