Kimberly C MacLeod
Finance Partner, Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP
Kim is a finance partner in the Richmond, Virginia office of Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP. She has broad experience with negotiating and documenting revolving, bridge and term loan facilities, including acquisition financings, recapitalizations and “going private” transactions. Kim also chairs Hunton Andrews Kurth’s firmwide Pro Bono Committee.
Prior to joining the firm in 1997, Kim served as a judicial clerk to the Hon. A. Christian Compton of the Supreme Court of Virginia. Kim was named among Profiles in Diversity Journal’s 2018 Women Worth Watching, Virginia Lawyers Weekly’s 2017 “Leaders in the Law,” Virginia Lawyers Weekly’s 2010 “Influential Women of Virginia” and Virginia Business’ 2010 Legal Elite (Business Law) and was selected as a “Rising Star” in banking by Virginia Super Lawyers in both 2007 and 2008. She was also a member of Leadership Metro Richmond’s Class of 2013.
Kim has two children, Riley and Aidan, and two rescue dogs, Mookie and Maggie. She is an avid runner and cyclist. Kim has “competed in” (or perhaps more appropriately, “completed”) numerous Sports Backers-sponsored running races and was a member of the marathon training team (“MTT”) for several years. She has run 9 marathons, 2 ultramarathons, countless half marathons and the Colonial 200 as a member of 6 and 12 women teams. Kim also finished two half ironman triathlons.
Before moving to Richmond to attend law school, Kim graduated from The University of North Carolina. While she enjoyed her time at The University of Richmond’s law school, Kim definitely identifies as a Tarheel, not a Spider. #gdtbath
