All Stars Program
The Active Living Leadership ALL Stars program provides education, hands-on experiences, and mentorship to a cohort of ALL Star Student-Athletes through a series of educational and experiential opportunities throughout their senior year.
About The ALL Stars Program
The Sports Backers/Richmond Times-Dispatch Active Living Leadership (ALL) Stars program provides education, hands-on experiences, and mentorship to a select cohort of scholar-athletes from the Richmond region, providing these students an opportunity to earn a minimum $2,500 scholarship upon completion of the program. Admitted students have gone through a rigorous nomination and application process to be invited into the program.
Throughout the program, ALL Stars work together in small groups with the support of a mentor. They attend educational sessions, where they are exposed to concepts and leaders that deepen their understanding of active living in our community. Each ALL Star experiences local active living initiatives first-hand by participating and volunteering with their crew. The program culminates with the ALL Stars working together to address an identified need in the active living community through the completion of a capstone project.
These projects are presented at the annual ALL Stars Awards Show, which is held in May of each year. At the Awards Show, students receive a $2500 scholarship award for completing program requirements and 8 additional scholarship awards are also presented.
