The Fall Line is a 43-mile trail spine in Central Virginia.
The Fall Line will be a transformational 43-mile long, north-south trail spine for our region’s active transportation network connecting seven localities: Ashland, Hanover, Henrico, Richmond, Chesterfield, Colonial Heights, and Petersburg. The Fall Line trail has the potential to reshape the way people travel, play, and connect with their communities and each other, meeting unmet demand for local infrastructure for active movement and providing a wide range of public benefits – from health and safety to economic development and sustainability. The Richmond area has a burgeoning walking, running and biking culture that desperately needs a signature regional trail to coalesce and showcase the active living culture.
Trail Route
Within two miles of the Fall Line there are 95 schools, 350,000 people and 100,000 jobs.
